With our client one of the biggest food manufacturers within Asia, we were approached to convert part of the new European head office into a cookery school.
Spanning over eight storeys, the head office located within the City of London is now the home to the European headquarters.
Aside from the planning exercise itself, logistically we had a challenge to design an extraction system which could cope with such a large commercial kitchen area whilst being 5 storeys above ground level.
With consideration needing to be given to our clients remaining seven floors, the proposals were designed to minimise the impact on the buildings envelope.
Having satisfied the environmental health teams concerns and drafting a planning statement which proved the loss of the employment space would not be affected, the application was approved within 10 weeks of client instruction.
